An elegant hand that lends itself beautifully to compact quotes, short phrases or dramatic headings, Gothicized italic is as useful as it is beautiful. In this class we will begin with a demonstration of the basic letter strokes and then move  on to study the whole lowercase alphabet. The uppercase letters will also be introduced and an exemplar provided. Following this study, we will move on to create alphabet designs and short quotes as further applications.Time allowing, we will explore the addition of color to our pieces. 

Supplies:
3.8 mm Black Parallel pen
Canson XL Marker layout paper (suggested 9" X 12") or other translucent layout paper.
0.5 Mechanical pencil (or other sharpened HB (2B) graphite drawing pencil)
18" C-thru ruler
A few colored pencils of choice; suggested, but not required: Vermillion red and Ultramarine blue.
