Delve into history as we learn to write the basic shapes of the Hebrew alphabet, studying a style inspired by the Dead Sea Scrolls and yet having a contemporary feel. We will learn some of the history of the DSS and the meaning and names of the alphabet.
Ink and pen nib (Speedball C-1 or C-2 or Mitchell 1 or 2) or comparable marker size, Mitchell 4, 5, or 6 nib
Layout or grid paper
Ruler, pencil, eraser
For project: A piece of heavy weight scrapbook paper, glue stick or dots, scissors, a circle to trace (may be a compass or a 4-5" lid to trace) and some writing paper for a quote (layout paper works).
